Howdy Brian!
Welcome to planDisney. There is nothing that I love more than helping guests plan their vacations, and I’m so excited to help you plan your day at the
Magic Kingdom. It sounds like you’re like me and willing to get up for early entry. So let's buckle up because I’m putting my planning hat on and we’re going to set you up for the most magical day possible.
Alrighty, getting to the Magic Kingdom at 8 am and lining up for early entry at 8:30 AM is an excellent idea. As of right now, you can access Tomorrowland and Fantasy Land during early entry. I would prioritize which rides you would like to do between these two awesome lands. In my opinion, the most popular rides between both lands are Peter Pan’s Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tron Lightcycle / Run, and Space Mountain. Both Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Tron Lightcycle / Run are available as Lightning Lane Single Pass options, so if you want to ride either of these, then I would dash to it first and then consider purchasing the other as a Lightning Lane since I don’t think you would be able to squeeze in both within 30 minutes before lines start to form. Assuming you do one of these, you would have time to ride one or two more rides before the park officially opens. I think you will need to leave the Magic Kingdom by at least 10 AM in order to make your reservation time. That gives you right around an hour, so you could continue with rides in Fantasy Land or Tomorrow Land, or you could head over to any other lands to get in a couple more rides prior to leaving.
You have a couple of fun options to get from the Magic Kingdom to
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You can take the Monorail or a boat, both of which I estimate will take you about 30 minutes.
One final tip I would like to give you is that if you plan to return to the Magic Kingdom after your fabulous brunch, I would recommend purchasing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. You can purchase this in advance and schedule your Lightning Lanes for the afternoon, which will let you walk back into the park, hop right on a few of your favorite rides, and then continue to book more as your day goes on.
I hope I’ve provided you with enough information to have an amazing day at the Magic Kingdom and a magical brunch at the Grand Floridian. Please stop back by if you have any more questions I can help with.
See ya real soon,
Robert
