Bonjour, Dorian and
nous saluons le retour (or welcome back) to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Dorian, If you haven't yet experienced the French inspired luxury of
Disney's Riviera Resort, let me take a moment to gush before we dive into
Character Dining. When I last visited this resort I fell in love with the theming, grounds and artwork everywhere. It really does have a European vibe that feels like you could be basking on the Côte d'Azur.
Now, no French or other European resort would be complete without great food and Disney's Riviera Resort does not disappoint.
Topolino's Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera boasts both a fabulous dinner menu and a fun Character breakfast. Dorian, I am happy to report that this restaurant IS still hosting its character breakfast, but in a modified manner. While Mickey and friends will make their way throughout the restaurant (in the cutest art-inspired outfits EVER), wave and dance, they do not make individual stops at the tables nor are they able to sign autograph books at this time.
While it is different than what you may have seen before, it's a great way to enjoy the main Mouse himself in a physically distanced manner. Dorian, I would also encourage you to read all about the new
enhanced cleaning and safety precautions Disney has implemented. For example, you will see things like Reduced-Contact menus and the requirement of face coverings for all Cast Members and guests when not seated at their dining table.
Dorian, I hope this helps as you are considering how best to spend your mornings at the Walt Disney World Resort. Character Dining is one of my family's favorite ways to enjoy a meal and I can't wait to head back to Topolino's Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera. Maybe now more than ever I savor these moments of Magic.
If you find yourself dining here with Mickey and friends, all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel wish you a meal that is
fantastique in every sense of the word. Please come on back with any other questions you might have.
Bon appétit!
Lauren
