Are there river view 5th sleeper rooms at Port Orleans Riverside? I booked a river view room and it says pull down or 2 queen beds? Can I guarantee a pull down for my 2 year old if I book a river view room instead of a garden view 5th sleeper? Thank you!

Howdy Darcie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're so glad you've brought your question to us. When I'm not planning my own Walt Disney World adventures, the next best thing is helping friends with theirs.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate after a busy day in the theme parks. The pull-down beds featuring Louis from The Princess and the Frog are adorably on theme; my children take turns snoozing on them when we stay here.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels conveniently offer a variety of booking categories so you can easily find the room that fits your family's needs. While the only way to absolutely guarantee a 5th sleeper room is to book one designated as such, there are River View rooms that feature the 5th sleeper. These rooms are located in buildings 14, 27, and 38 in Alligator Bayou. Keep in mind that rooms in buildings 14 and 27 are also categorized as Preferred. Your best chance of landing a 5th sleeper room with a view of the Sassagoula River is to book a Preferred Room or River View and request a 5th sleeper. While requests are not guaranteed, I find that Cast Members do their best to accommodate guests. I recommend adding your request to your reservation by calling the Disney Resort Hotel line, and stopping by the front desk upon check-in to confirm.

Darcie, I know that no matter where you rest your head at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, you will have a lovely view from the moment you step out of your rustic, yet refined retreat. Be sure to take time to explore some of the unique amenities this resort offers. The feature pool, Ol' Man Isle, is a family favorite, and a great way to cool down in between visits to the theme parks. While you're splashing around, stop by Muddy Rivers for a poolside snack or beverage. If chilling out on the docks is more your style, there are even opportunities to cast a line at this resort.

For a lively, down-home good time, check out Yehaa Bob at River Roost. Enjoy southern-inspired libations while singing along with the wacky, piano playing local star in his family-friendly show. Inquire at the front desk for a performance schedule.

Finally, if Disney Springs is on your itinerary, Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside offers relaxing water craft transportation to your destination. This boat journey is a must-do for my family when vacationing at one of the resorts located along the Sassagoula River.

I hope this has been helpful as you get ready for your adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any more questions as your trip approaches, come back and see us again; we love to help.

    See ya real soon!
