Does the River of Lights show accept the DAS? Where is handicap seating? Thanks!

Hi Jacalyn! I just returned from a quick trip to Walt Disney World and had the opportunity to view the new Animal Kingdom show, Rivers of Light. It has been long anticipated by so many and I was thrilled to be able to see it during my stay.

The seating is mostly on concrete benches so it is not the most comfortable place to wait for the show. We sat quite close to the bottom and the handicap seating is at the very bottom. They will try to accommodate your family so you are all together but if you have a large group some might have to sit up in the stands above you. You will actually have some of the best seats in the house as I was told the lower you go the better. No one will be sitting in front of you so you have full views of the show constantly. If the lower levels fill up there might be areas at the top for handicapped guests but no matter what they will take care of your needs.

Arrive a bit early as there is a small pre show but I felt that you can arrive fairly close to the time of the show and still get good seats in the regular seating. We attached a dining package to ours and felt that was worth it to have the good seats without worrying about it. We felt we had to grab a bite to eat anyway so why not do it with the ability to see the Rivers of Light. You might consider that for yourself.

Hope you enjoy this show. It is different from any of the other parks night time entertainment. My only regret is that it only lasts about 15 minutes.
