Hello again Karlee! Thanks for coming back for more answers to your Disney vacation planning questions!
The fireworks display that can be seen from Disney's Contemporary Resort are the Magic Kingdom fireworks. As previously explained, the best viewing spot at this location is the observation deck on the 15th floor of the hotel. However, this location is reserved for patrons of the California Grill & Bar. There is another observation area on the 4th floor of the resort for fireworks viewing. It is located on the North end of the Grand Canyon Concourse, past the Concourse Sundries & Spirits shop. You can also try the walkway bridge connecting the resort to Bay Lake Tower.
You may experience obstructed viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from the beach at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Try either Trinidad South or Martinique. There are some spots on the beach offering partial views of the upper level fireworks and lasers of IllumiNations. However, if you choose this option, you will miss a great deal of the pyrotechnics, music, and choreography of the Epcot fireworks. In order to avoid any disappointment on your part, I would recommend viewing IllumiNations inside Epcot.
Other options for viewing Wishes outside Magic Kingdom, include the boat-dock and outside observation deck near Narcoossee's, and the Gasparilla Grill & Games Patio at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort offers fantastic views of Wishes. The show's audio is piped-in through several ground-level speakers along the sidewalk. Another restaurant offering good views of Wishes is 'Ohana. Be sure to book any ADR now by calling (407) WDW-DINE or try to reserve online.
Have fun ringing in the New Year Disney-style!
