Will Rise of the Resistance be regular standby queues on October 15th, 2021? Just show up any time and stand in line?

Bright Suns, Tracy! It's my pleasure to welcome you once again to planDisney!

As you begin your journey tomorrow to the Walt Disney World Resort, planning a visit to the planet Batuu is a must. And I see you've decided to join the Resistance as they battle the First Order! Excellent! They can always use a helping hand or two.

Now that boarding groups are no longer required for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you'll board the attraction through a regular standby queue. You can check current wait times by going into the My Disney Experience mobile app and clicking on the map icon at the bottom of your screen, then selecting Disney's Hollywood Studios under the "Filters" tab. You may want to plan on arriving at the park about 30 minutes before the posted opening time on the day you'll be visiting to enter the standby line as early as possible.

One thing to note, once Disney Genie service launches on October 19, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is slated to be among the attractions available for individual Lightning Lane purchase. The standby queue will continue to be available once the Lightning Lane entrances are open.

To really up the fun factor on your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, be sure to download the Play Disney Parks mobile app to your device. When you activate it as you explore Batuu, your younglings will love listening in on secret communications, discovering the contents of hidden cargo boxes, and even hacking into alien control panels!

Tracy, I hope your adventure in the Outer Rim is out-of-this-world! Thanks again for stopping by, and May The Force Be With You...Always!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
