    Jirapa from CA Asked

We all want to get on the rise of the resistance except for my 12 yrs old son. I was wondering if he can wait somewhere with the staffs while the three of us are on the ride.

    Bright Suns, Jirapa!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question! Get ready to live your Star Wars story! Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is here!

Utilizing the Rider Switch Service is one of my top tips for families! The Rider Switch service allows guests that don’t meet the boarding requirements or don’t wish to experience a particular attraction the ability to wait with a supervising guest (age 14 or older) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. Then, the roles are switched to allow the supervising guest to experience the attraction without waiting in the regular queue again. Rider Switch is available at select attractions in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

I’m happy to report that Rider Switch is available at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! But, it works a little differently because this attraction utilizes a virtual queue. First, all members of your party that wish to ride will need to join the virtual queue. After you're assigned a Boarding Group, wait for your return time to be called. At that time, you may use Rider Switch as you normally would. Check-in with a Cast Member at the attraction to let them know you’d like to utilize Rider Switch. Then the riding Guests will wait in line while the supervising Guest waits with the non-rider. Once the first riders exit the attraction, the other Guest will return to the attractions line and board without waiting in the regular queue.

I hope this helps you make the most of your visit to the Planet of Batuu!
