does Rise of the resistance have child swap now that there is no virtual queue?

Hey howdy hey Sarah and welcome to planDisney!

I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort with my three girls. Getting the chance to experience the parks through their eyes is something that I feel every parent should have the pleasure of experiencing. Now that my girls are getting older, their interests in attractions are changing, a lot like their personalities! The age difference of my girls as well as their heights are all things that we keep in mind with planning out our "must-do" attractions for our next trip. Inevitably, there are going to be times when our more adventurous one wants to ride a certain ride or one daughter does not want to ride or does not meet the height requirement and we do get to take advantage of Rider Switch Service

With the Rider Switch Service, this makes navigating the parks so much easier giving us the option of riding the attractions we want and not having to worry about our youngest that still has a ways to go for many height requirements. Many of the rides across Walt Disney World Resort that have height requirements do offer the Rider Switch option and Yes, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of them! When you are ready to get in line or have purchased your Lightning Lane entitlement, find the Cast Member in front of the attraction line and ask about Rider Switch. You or a couple in your party can hang back with your little one while the others experience the attraction. Once finished with their experience, they can trade you places and stay with the little one while the rest of you enjoy the experience.

I hope this helps with your final preparations of planning. Looks like in a few short days we will have the honor of welcoming you to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Let us know if you have any further questions, we love talking about all things Disney!

    Happy planning,
