Right now we have the quick service meal plan. I am traveling with my husband, adult son and 5 year old grandson. Is it worth upgrading to a table service meal plan? We have already made reservations at Chef Mickey dinner one of the days we are there.

    Hi Deb,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  Choosing the right Disney Dining Plan for your family can be a tough job.  It really depends on how your family would like to dine while at Walt Disney World Resort.  If you plan on spending as much time as possible in the Theme Parks and do not want to spend a great deal of time dining, the Quick Service Dining Plan would be the choice for you.  There are some delicious Quick-Serve options available and I'm sure you will be very happy with the selection for your family at Walt Disney World Resort.

On the other hand, if you are a family who would appreciate some time away from the excitement of the Theme Parks every day, you may want to consider upgrading.  The Disney Dining Plan is really the best of both worlds.  Your family can enjoy one Table Service meal, Quick-Serve meal and a snack per night.  My family and I enjoy this dining plan because it gives us time together every day where we are able to decompress and talk about our favourite memories so far.

I would suggest you look at the Table-Service Dining locations and see if there are any options that appeal to you and your family.  If you can fill out an itinerary where you are comfortable using your would be Table-Service credits, I would say upgrade.  If you would be just as happy at a Quick-Serve location, my advice would be to keep the Quick-Service Dining Plan.

I hope that helps you choose Deb.  If you have any other questions while planning your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation, or would like some more specific details regarding your dining options, please let me know.  I would be happy to help!
