As of right now, are guests allowed to visit resorts to eat without a dining reservation? We want to try trader Sam’s grotto. Also is there a parking fee for eating at a resort?

    Hi Melissa! Welcome to planDisney!

You must be thrilled to visit the Walt Disney World Resort soon! With more dining and entertainment options reopening at the Most Magical Place on Earth, it is a great time to visit.

Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is a favorite spot of mine! The atmosphere is unique and the drinks are amazing. When I vacationed earlier this month, I was able to visit lounges at Disney Resorts Collection hotels that I was not staying at without any problems, but just know that this is subject to change as protocols are constantly evolving around the Walt Disney World Resort. You may want to call Disney's Polynesian Village Resort at (407) 824-2000 or chat with a Cast Member on the day you plan to visit to see if they are accepting off-property Guests that day.

Parking is complimentary to those dining at a Disney Resort hotel for a few hours. You will check-in when you enter the parking lot and let the Cast Member know that you are there to visit Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. As long as they are allowing Guests to enter the resort for dining without a hotel reservation, you will be all set!

I hope you have a great visit, Melissa! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
