Hi Kara,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! The Walt Disney World Resort is open and ready to celebrate the World’s Most Magical Celebration!
There are so many things that we’ve grown to love throughout the years. You mentioned boat transportation to
Disney Springs, you can still do that! The
water transportation around Disney Springs is running to and from specific area
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. There are even boats running from the Marketplace to The Landing section of Disney Springs. You’ll just want to locate the boat you’re looking for in the My Disney Experience mobile app to check the departure times!
Since we’re talking about
My Disney Experience, there are many things you can do in the app that are super helpful. For example, Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests are able to purchase pre-arrival
MagicBands through the app or online! Just make sure your hotel reservation is linked, then either visit My MagicBands and Cards on My Disney Experience online or select the MagicBand option in the “Resort Hotel” section of the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can also read about and
book dining reservations through the app! If you're looking to learn about
Extended Evenings and
Early Theme Park Entry, you'll want to head to the Walt Disney World Resort Website and
calendar.
Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ Service are the newest additions to the My Disney Experience mobile app. I definitely suggest reading about
how the paid service works as well as how
Lightning Lanes and
Individual Lightning Lanes work throughout the Resort.
As for your Resort amenities, a lot of the pools are open! Depending on your hotel, there might be a few things under refurbishment, but Hakuna Matata. When you’re booking, you might see some information at the top of your screen that details if any of the pools or other amenities are being refurbished or closed for a specific period of time. With
Housekeeping, guests are able to enjoy light service every other day which includes a towel refresh, trash removal, vacuuming (if needed), and wiping down surfaces. If you’re staying at a Disney Vacation Club property, guests receive service on the 4th and 8th day of their stay!
I know that was a ton of information, but I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your vacation this August. If you have any other planning or vacation questions about specific services,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
