    When riding Test Trac at EPCOT, is a magic band required to design your own car?

    Hi Erin, and welcome to planDisney!

    Test Track at EPCOT is one of those memorable super fun experiences that must be experienced every visit if you ask me! Family members get a kick out of designing their vehicles and take the design very seriously. 

    From experience, I have done it both ways. You are free to use your MagicBand when you design your ride vehicles. You would scan your MagicBand to keep up with your car to see how it fairs during your ride. I have also created a design vehicle and did not scan my MagicBand, and I still had the best time. It is totally up to you.
