We’ll be riding the Magical Express next week. We didn’t add our flight info in time to receive our luggage tags. What information is needed to check in/board the Magical Express? Will we be able to get our luggage tags for our departure when we check in?

Hi Leah! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Boarding Disney's Magical Express is when I feel like our vacation has officially begun. After days of packing, cleaning, and organizing in preparation for our trip, sitting down and relaxing during the ride to our Disney Resort hotel is a welcome relief!

Even with the late addition of Disney's Magical Express to your itinerary, it is a super easy process! I have taken a few last-minute trips recently, so I speak from experience! When I arrived at the check-in podium, the Cast Member scanned by MagicBand to pull up my reservation. Since I did not have the special luggage tags, I gave the Cast Member my baggage claim numbers from when I had checked my bags at my departure airport. The numbers were entered into the system and I was directed to the line to wait for my bus. A few hours after I arrived at my Disney Resort hotel, my luggage auto-magically showed up in my room!

For departure, if you are using Resort Airline Check-In, you will visit the podium outside of your Disney Resort hotel's lobby on your check-out day. They will take care of checking your luggage (including luggage tags) and print your boarding passes for your flight. Later, when it is time to board Disney's Magical Express and head back to Orlando International Airport, you will simply head straight to security at the airport with boarding passes in hand.

Hopefully this helps answer your questions, Leah! Please visit us again!
