What rides would 3-7 years old like and what rides would 8-17 years old like?

    Hi Ellie,

Thank you for dropping by planDisney with a great question! It sounds like you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. If so, I hope you have booked or plan to book a vacation package! Once I book our vacation package and link it in My Disney Experience, my family really gets into the planning.

Now, let's talk about the attractions! You can certainly search the Attractions List and filter by age interest or height. When my girls were younger, they loved EPCOT. Soarin' Around the World, Living with the Land, Frozen Ever After, Test Track, and Mission: SPACE were their favorites. Test Track has a height requirement of 40 inches, so just double-check to make sure your little ones are tall enough to ride before getting in line. At Magic Kingdom, there were so many rides they ADORED! The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Barnstormer, Astro Orbiter, Tomorrowland Speedway, Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin were a few of their favorites when they were 5-years old. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, they loved Kilimanjaro Safaris and at Disney's Hollywood Studios, they thought Star Tours - The Adventures Continue was out of this world. Now, your little ones might also love all of the attractions in Toy Story Land.

As my girls have gotten older (they are now 14-years old), they love Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom. Tomorrowland Speedway is still a favorite. They now love being able to drive. At EPCOT, they still enjoy Soarin' Around the World, Test Track, and Mission: SPACE. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, our absolute favorite ride is Avatar Flight of Passage and we always ride Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

Of course, they have always loved the shows and fireworks spectaculars. On our first trip with them when they were 5-years old, they were enthralled with all of the music, dancing, and storytelling at The Festival of the Lion King show. This show is back as A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King and is still an amazing show. We are so excited to learn that the Happily Ever After fireworks show is returning to Magic Kingdom on July 1, 2021. This show is simply spectacular!

Ellie, the happy news is that there is plenty to enjoy for all ages, so I have no doubt that you all will have a blast!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
