Hey there, Katrina, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! As a dad of four little Mouseketeers, I can tell you firsthand that there are tons of attractions available for even the youngest Guests to experience! I also know that experiencing Walt Disney World with littles can be… unpredictable! I suggest planning for lots of flexibility in your Theme Park days.
Katrina,
Walt Disney World has a ton of experiences geared toward younger children. These experiences range from cavalcades on Main Street U.S.A., to The Boneyard in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. All of the extra attractions are really the icing on the cake! You can find a list of all the rides available to your toddlers at the link above, but I also wanted to spend some time sharing some of my family’s favorite resort attractions by Theme Park!
EPCOT is one of the Theme Parks that families with young children often pass over, but there are some great experiences available for toddlers. The first for us is always Frozen Ever After. Not only do you get to see Olaf in action, but this ride has some surprising twists and turns that are perfect for even the youngest Guests. Next, The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a really cool attraction for toddlers that includes an aquarium-like experience as you exit the attraction. And if you have some time, pop in to catch a wave and chat with Crush!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is our family’s favorite Theme Park, and we can spend the entire day walking it from end to end. My toddlers love trekking through the African Savannah on Kilimanjaro Safaris. This ride is the perfect way to sneak a little education during vacation! See, school and vacation can work together! From the safari we head over to The Festival of the Lion King. This show gives everyone the opportunity to catch a seat and see the Lion King come to life with song and dance!
Our first
Disney Hollywood Studios stop is always For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. Between this and the Festival of the Lion King and you may notice that my toddlers love a good musical! After exiting the Frozen show, we head next door to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway! Keep your eyes peeled on this ride because Goofy always has something up his sleeve.
Let me start by saying that toddlers can never go wrong in
Magic Kingdom Park! There is something for them to enjoy at every turn. My toddlers especially love riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant! To be honest I have no idea why. But I think it’s because they can have a hand in Dumbo flying higher and lower. They enjoy getting to control some aspects of the ride.
There are many more rides that I did not mention here, but here are some of our favorites. However, I’m sure that you can’t go wrong with your toddlers at Disney World. To see the light in their eyes at every turn definitely makes it worth it for us parents!
I hope this helps, Katrina! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation,
please stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
