Hello, Elsa, and welcome to planDisney!
I can tell that you're excited as I am about the upcoming
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Who doesn't love the idea of trick-or-treating at The Most Magical Place on Earth?! My kids look forward to staying up late just to party with Mickey and his friends. But our favorite part? Experiencing those special ride overlays and other unique activities.
From time to time the ride overlays change (maybe we'll see a return of the live actors in the
Pirates of the Caribbean ride one day). For 2026, you can expect twisted versions of
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, the
Mad Tea Party, and
Space Mountain. Taking a ride in the teacups is even more fun when you don't know what spooky Halloween song you'll hear as you spin. Meanwhile, Space Mountain adds on an extra layer of thrill because it's usually a completely pitch black ride during party hours.
Almost all attraction queues are exponentially shorter during the party, especially as it gets later into the night. Many Guests watch the first showing of the nighttime parade and start winding down. However, that's right when queues tend to ease up. Of course, super popular rides, like
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, can still be on the longer side. But they are usually nowhere near what they are during the daytime, normal hours. You can get into a ride's queue all the way up to midnight, so be sure to maximize your time.
AN EXTRA GEM: Did you know that you can enter
Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. if you have a valid admission to the Halloween Party? So, you'll have more time to hit up your top attractions before the party even begins. Shorter lines at night plus extra daytime thrills make for an unforgettable experience!
You are going to have a boo-tastic time at the party this year, Elsa. Trust me, this is one of the best after-hours events at Disney World. And the Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade song will be stuck in your head (in a good way) for months after your visit. Until then, if you have any other questions about your vacation,
let us know here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
