Some rides show transfer to wheelchair from electric scooter. Do they have wheelchairs available at those rides?

Hi, Elaine; I’m happy to answer this question for you!

There are three main categories of attractions for Guests with mobility disabilities at Walt Disney World Resort. In the first category, a Guest must transfer from the wheelchair/ECV to a ride vehicle. The second category has Guests transfer from their ECV to a wheelchair, and the third category has Guests transfer from their ECV to a wheelchair, and from the wheelchair to a ride vehicle. For the attractions in the second and third categories, a wheelchair will be provided at the attraction for the Guest to transfer.

There are currently nine attractions at Magic Kingdom Park where Guests may remain in their ECV. Additionally, there are 15 such attractions at Epcot, nine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and 13 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

For more information about the mobility requirements for attractions at Walt Disney World Resort, check out the Frequently Asked Questions, and don’t forget to pick up a Guide for Guests with Disabilities available at each of the Theme Parks.

In the meantime, please let us know if you think of any other questions.

    Best wishes,
    Amy
