Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan. I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question!
I was pregnant with my daughter when my husband and I traveled to the
Walt Disney World Resort for a long weekend away a few years ago. I
wasn't pregnant when I booked the trip, so when I realized we were expecting, I was a bit worried. It was all for naught! My husband and I had the best time experiencing lots of attractions together, taking in a few shows, and trying many new-to-us restaurants.
The
attractions that feature an Expectant Mothers Advisory are not recommended for any pregnant women, regardless of trimester. That said, I did ride a few, like Kilimanjaro Safaris, while I was visiting the theme parks in my first trimester. I felt I could safely and comfortably ride at that time. Had I been in my third trimester, however, I'm sure I would have been very uncomfortable on a bumpy ride through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve!
My very best advice is to consult your doctor about your specific pregnancy needs prior to traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort. For more
information about attractions and entertainment that expectant mothers can enjoy, call a friendly Cast Member at (407) 939-5277. My dear friend and fellow panelist,
Kristen, has some great advice about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort while pregnant. I hope you find it helpful!
Susan, please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have. We'd love to help you plan a magical stay!
