Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jill!
When you're traveling with an infant this summer,
Rider Switch is going to be such a great time-saving tool and also a way to make sure that you and your older kids don't miss out on any of the attractions that you want to experience. With the Rider Switch service, adults can take turns watching the little one and riding attractions without having to wait in the standby line twice. A Cast Member will issue the second riding group a Rider Switch entitlement, and I'm happy to tell you that you're correct and it is good for up to three guests. Those guests can then use their Rider Switch switch entitlement to skip the standby line and enter the attraction through the
FastPass+ queue! There are attractions that participate in the Rider Switch service at all four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, so be sure to check the list when you're planning out your vacation.
Recently, some adjustments were made to the Rider Switch service to make sure that it's running in a way that helps guests have an easier, more convenient, and more magical experience. The service has now gone fully digital, so your Rider Switch entitlement is accessed through your
MagicBand and your return time shows up in your
My Disney Experience app! With this tech upgrade, Cast Members can now check to see if all riding parties have a valid FastPass+ if you want to use it in conjunction with Rider Switch, so if the first riding group wants to use a FastPass+ to enter, all five riding members of your family must have a valid FastPass+.
Have a magical day, Jill!
