Hi, there!
Sarah, I'm thrilled to hear you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one in tow. How very exciting! It's my pleasure to answer your questions.
My daughter made her first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort last summer when she was almost 11-months old. She had the very best time! I know your sweet baby will be all smiles too. I'm happy to tell you that there are lots of family-friendly attractions your 8-month old can ride.
Slow attractions without height restrictions are perfect for babies! My infants have especially enjoyed attractions with gentle tracks like Peter Pan's Flight and boat-ride attractions like "it's a small world." My husband and I have even taken our babies on dark attractions like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean; they were much too little to be frightened! For attractions that your little one is just
too little for, be sure to use
Disney's Rider Switch service so you don't have to miss out on popular thrill attractions.
When visiting the theme parks with an infant, a stroller is a must-have! You'll find clearly marked stroller parking areas throughout each of the theme parks. The stroller parking areas are usually within close proximity of multiple attractions, so we try to ride as many as we can in that area of the park before putting the baby back into the stroller. To make your stroller stand out among a sea of others in the parking areas, attach a balloon, ribbon, or luggage tag to the handlebar.
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah. If you have any other questions about traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with your baby, please let me know!
