Welcome to planDisney Angelina, and thank you for stopping by with your question! Planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort is always a magical experience, and it’s wonderful that you’re thinking ahead to make sure your day in the parks is both comfortable and fun. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned Disney guest, being at the Most Magical Place on Earth during such a special season of life is truly unforgettable. I’m happy to help you navigate which attractions may be best suited for your visit while expecting.
As someone who has navigated the parks at seven months pregnant, I can say with confidence that if you’re six months pregnant at
Magic Kingdom, you can still enjoy many attractions throughout the park. Most rides without height requirements or health advisories are considered safe for expectant mothers. These include gentle and slower experiences like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, “it’s a small world,” Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Entertainment based attractions like Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Enchanted Tiki Room, the Country Bear Jamboree, Carousel of Progress, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor are also great options.
The train ride around the park and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover offer relaxing experiences with minimal physical stress. Classic attractions like Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and the Walt Disney World Railroad are safe as well. You can also enjoy all the parades, fireworks, and character greetings.
However, you’ll want to avoid any attractions that have signs advising expectant mothers not to ride. These usually involve rapid movement, drops, or high speeds. In Magic Kingdom, those would be rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (when it re-opens), Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, The Barnstormer, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, and TRON Lightcycle / Run.
Using the
My Disney Experience app, you can filter attractions to check for pregnancy advisories. It’s also a good idea to plan for rest, stay hydrated, and take breaks throughout the day. Many guests in your situation have found Magic Kingdom to be one of the most enjoyable and accessible parks to visit while pregnant.
Angelina, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
