What rides have height restrictions for kids? What are the best attractions for kids 2-5 years old?

    Hey there, Molly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't wait for you to bring your kiddos to the Happiest Place on Earth! I personally thing that taking preschoolers and toddlers to the Disneyland Resort is the most magical feeling. These are the ages when kids really start understanding the world and find so much joy in some of the most simple experiences at the parks. As the parent of a preschooler, I have loved seeing my son's reactions to attractions, entertainment, and Characters over the last few years.

You will be delighted to know that most attractions between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are family-friendly and safe for young children. Most attractions actually have no height requirement meaning even infants can ride these with an adult. You can view attraction height requirements online as well as on the official Disneyland app. My son's favorites are some of the timeless classics like "it's a small world," Peter Pan's Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant to name just a few. As a fan of all things Cars he also LOVES the attractions in Cars Land with a 32" height requirement: Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters. Since many children this age are fascinated with any form of transportation, I also recommend taking rides on the Disneyland Railroad, Disneyland Monorail, Main Street Vehicles, and the Mark Twain Riverboat.

Children this age also find it so magical to meet their favorite Characters, so make sure you are keeping an eye on the Disneyland app for Character meeting times and locations between both parks. Kids can even dance with some of these pals at the Disney Junior Dance Party!

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any questions. Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah day!
