Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Bee! I’m so happy to see you here today. As a mom to a thrill-seeking 5-year old boy myself, I’m excited to share with you some of his “must-dos”.
At
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, my son has to go play in Andy’s Backyard. His most favorite attraction in Toy Story Land is
Slinky Dog Dash, which is an adorable family-friendly coaster. At
EPCOT, you can find my son with his hands raised high as we take a speeding test run, on
Test Track presented by Chevrolet®.
Magic Kingdom Park is where my son slows it down just a smidge. He much rather enjoy the classics in this park such as,
Haunted Mansion and
Pirates of the Caribbean. Although, this doesn’t usually last for long because after those attractions he's ready to conquer the Mountains!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad,
Space Mountain, and
Splash Mountain are where he much rather be. I will admit, he does slow it down once we visit
Disney’s Animal Kingdom. He much rather spend his time meeting some of his favorite
Pals out in the “wilderness”, as he calls it.
When it comes to using a stroller, I always bring mine from home. My son does have low muscle tone and very little endurance, so we like to have a place for him to sit between attractions. I remember growing up, my sisters also used a basic stroller until they were about 5-years old. I suggest to do what's best for your family. If they generally use a stroller, bring it! If you think they will be fine without one, just plan for breaks or longer sit down meals. There is also a place where you can
rent a stroller, located within all 4 parks, so that is an option as well!
Hakuna Matata, there will be so much fun and Magic to discover on your trip! Sometimes, my 5-year old doesn’t even mention that he's tired until we’re back home from our visit. My husband and I are actually amazed at how our kids refuse to nap in the parks! We joke that they don’t even blink in fear of missing any of the excitement!
Have a Magical time!
