Hi there Emily,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question!
While I definitely prefer visiting the Disneyland Resort when it's warm and sunny out, I have formed some of my most favorite core memories during rainy visits. It's certainly a bummer when you can't ride those one or two attractions that you had your eyes on due to unexpected closures, but luckily there is still plenty of fun around the Happiest Place on Earth.
There are no vouchers or passes available if you're not able to experience a particular attraction during your visit due to inclement weather, but
theme park reservations are very flexible. If you have flexible dates and see heavy rain in the forecast during an upcoming trip that you don't want to deal with, you can quickly and easily modify your theme park reservation through the
My Plans hub on the Disneyland Resort website.
If you're planning on visiting when it's expected to rain, I typically recommend bringing a rain jacket, a poncho to wear over the jacket, water-resistant shoes, and an extra pair of socks - because wet socks are the worst. While most attractions and indoor shows will continue to operate normally during rain, some outdoor attractions may temporarily close until the weather passes, which you can see on the
What To Do When It Rains FAQ page.
Thanks again for your question, Emily! I hope you're able to have fun on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth - rain or shine!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
