Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Amy. Thanks for stopping by to share your question with us. Oh boy! A visit to the Disneyland Resort is in your future and I'm thrilled to help you plan.
As Edna Mode says, "Luck favors the prepared," and it's always good to know what to expect to avoid disappointment during your magical visit. You can check the
Hours & Events calendar at the Disneyland site to find a list of attractions that are currently closed for refurbishment. Below the "Schedules" section you will click on "Closed for Refurbishment" to see a list of attractions for each theme park. This information can also be found in the
Disneyland app by clicking on "All Hours" (after scrolling toward the middle), selecting the day of your visit and scrolling to the bottom to see the list of closed attractions. This calendar isn't filled out too far in advance, so I recommend checking back in a couple of weeks or so.
I'm so glad you asked about
Soarin' Over California. This is my favorite version of this attraction and it usually returns for a limited time during the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Good news, Amy! This delicious festival will make its triumphant return on March 1st along with Soarin' Over California. So keep your seat belt fastened, store all carry-on items in the under-seat compartment and get ready for the aroma of sweet-smelling citrus as you fly over the orange groves. I can almost smell it now.
Amy, I hope this helps as you are preparing for your visit. Your visit will be here before you know it and it's never too early to start that countdown. Here's wishing you a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
