Hi Elahna,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting to know that we have a baby on the way!
As happy as we are to provide advice, your doctor is best equipped to help you make this determination. Each pregnancy is different and your doctor knows your medical history. When I was pregnant with twins, my pregnancy was considered high risk so I avoided all theme park rides in general and certainly did not do any thrill rides, rides with drops, and spinning rides.
First, I suggest that you take a look at the
Attractions List for each theme park. To check each park, you will need to filter by park instead of All Walt Disney World Locations. The
Magic Kingdom Attractions List, for example, will indicate the specific attractions at that park. Each attraction includes some info that will give you an idea of what to expect. Highlight the attractions that you might want to experience and then
review the individual attractions pages for those rides.
When you get to the parks, each attraction has additional health and safety information. Take time to review that as well. I rode Mission: SPACE with a few other moms a few years ago, none of whom were pregnant at the time, but one of whom had not been to Disney. We saw several health and safety advisories in the ride queue. When we got in the ride, the mom who had never been to Disney panicked and had to leave. She later said that she should have heeded the warning signs. We were fortunate that a cast member was able to let us off the attraction. Our friend was feeling much better after we got back outside. So, pay close attention to those health and safety advisories in the parks!
Although my students do call me Dr., I am not a medical doctor and would never claim to be able to provide medical advice! You can always
call to speak with a cast member if you would like more guidance. I spoke with a lovely cast member tonight who also suggested that you may want to avoid any attractions with a height requirement. Keep in mind that even if an attraction has no height requirement, there could be other reasons to avoid it. I am so sorry that there is no simple answer to your question!
Elahna, remember to enjoy the character interactions and snacks. If you have any food allergies, be sure to review the information with
Special Dietary Requests and remember that pregnancy can lead to food challenges that may not have existed previously. For me, pregnancy did not take away my love of popcorn. There is something special about simply walking around the parks enjoying popcorn from the latest popcorn bucket!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
