Caroline from VA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is there a way to see what rides are available and what is sold out prior to booking our passes for the Park?

    Greetings, Caroline.

Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy, your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the riverbend. Pretty soon, you'll be standing right in the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. gazing up at Tinker Bell as she soars across the sky and fireworks illuminate the night in Disney Enchantment. I bet you can't wait!

I'm honored you chose me to answer your question, Caroline, and would be happy to help. It sounds like you are considering purchasing Disney Genie+ service and/or Individual Lightning Lanes on your trip and would like to know if there is a way to see which attractions have availability before booking your Disney Park Pass reservations. Unlike the now-retired FastPass+ system, Disney Genie+ service Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane selections are booked the morning of use, not ahead of time. This is great news, because it means availability for Lightning Lanes starts fresh every morning!

Disney Genie+ service allows you access to Lightning Lane entrances at more than 40 attractions across all four theme parks for a small fee per person per day. You can purchase Disney Genie+ service starting at 12:00 a.m. midnight on the day you wish to use it in your My Disney Experience App via the "My Day" feature - just look for the purple section that says "Take Today To the Next Level." I suggest you make your purchase by 6:00 a.m. at the latest to leave some wiggle room in case there are any technical glitches.

You can make your first Disney Genie+ service Lightning Lane selection starting at 7:00 a.m., so be on the Tip Board in your My Disney Experience App ready to make your first selection at that time. Click "Book Experience" under the attraction you choose, then walk through the steps to complete your booking. You can continue booking Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections every two hours or after utilizing a selection, whichever comes first.

Additionally, Individual Lightning Lanes entrances are available at two attractions in each of the theme parks. You may purchase up to two of these per day for an additional fee per attraction. Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes beginning at 7:00 a.m. on the morning of use via the Tip Board in their My Disney Experience App. All other Guests can make their purchases beginning at the official park opening time. Simply click on the selection you wish to purchase and complete the steps to finalize your booking. Unlike Disney Genie+ service Lightning Lanes, you will be able to choose an arrival window for the Individual Lightning Lanes so have a time in mind before your purchase.

You've got a friend in me, so if I've misinterpreted what you were asking, please stop back and send me another question. I want to make sure you have all the pixie dust you need to have the most magical trip possible, Caroline. Enjoy your vacation!
