Bright Suns, Crystal! There's nothing more exciting than celebrating May the Fourth at the Disneyland Resort and even better, at Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. I attended this glorious event last year and am delighted to help with your question.
Your visit is nearly here and I'd love to share some ideas that may be helpful to you. Crystal, you may want to look into
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is a service to help Guests that may have difficulty tolerating extended wait times in a conventional queue due to a disability. You have the ability to pre-register with
DAS Advance Planning. This can be done between 2 and 30 days in advance of your arrival. During your
live video chat with a Cast Member, you will be able to pre-select up to 2
experiences per day of your visit (subject to availability). Here are a few things to keep in mind before requesting your live chat.
- Log in to your Disney account
- Link valid theme park tickets for each member of your party
- Live video chat is available from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time
You may also want to consider
renting a wheelchair or an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) to help you easily make your way around the resort and aid in your recovery. You can find the rental location outside of the main entrance of Disneyland Park.
I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the Foodie Guide with special food offerings during your special event. Although the event doesn't officially start until 9:00 p.m., you will be able to enter Disneyland Park starting at 6:00 p.m. You will receive a wristband with a QR code that you can have Disney PhotoPass Photographers scan to ensure you get all of your digital downloads from the evening festivities. I loved getting my image captured with the various characters. And if you decide to attend in your best light or dark side garb, you will just want to make sure you follow the
costume guidelines.
I hope this is helpful to you, Crystal. I'm so excited for you to have an out-of-this-world experience. If you have other questions as you continue to plan, please come back and ask us. Happy planning!
May the Force be with you!
