Hey there, Angela.
Prepare to get digitized! I hope you're having a magical day, and welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by. My pals and I know how important it is to plan the perfect trip, so thank you for including us. Without further ado, let's get to your question.
I absolutely love
TRON Lightcycle / Run, and there's something extra special about riding it at nighttime. It's truly spectacular seeing
Magic Kingdom Park lit up as you blast off into the Grid. But I must say, day or night, you can't go wrong. Although my youngest is tall enough, he hasn't wanted to ride just yet, so we use
Rider Switch quite often. When using Rider Switch, your entire party will approach the Cast Member located in front of the attraction. When I've done this, as soon as my party returns from the first ride, I use my
Lightning Lane immediately upon their arrival. After speaking with a friendly Cast Member, Lorelai, I learned this is the correct way to do it. Since you'll have a Lightning Lane for you and two other members of your family, you'll need to maintain the same timeframe for your second group. If possible, I would definitely try to convince the rest of your party to reserve a Lightning Lane during the evening; they won't be disappointed. Be sure to grab those as soon as you can. Those Lightning Lanes typically go quick!
Bonus tip: Entering the standby queue right before the theme park closes is often a great way to enjoy a shorter wait time, though I can't guarantee it. It's worked for me in the past! Another fun suggestion is to try to get your Lightning Lane return time during the
Happily Ever After fireworks show. Experiencing the attraction while the fireworks are happening is something you have to see to believe!
Angela, I hope you have a fantastic time going off the Grid! Lastly, my favorite tips are to keep your hands up the whole time, and ask a Cast Member if you can get the front row. It's a total game-changer. Please come back and see me anytime.
