Molly from MO Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Can Rider Switch be used for the adult? For example my husband and two children(ages 9 and 7) will ride Space Mountain, but I will not. Can my husband ride with my son and then use a Rider Switch to ride with my daughter?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Molly! We’re so happy you stopped by to bring us such a great question.

My kids have a wide age gap, so we are frequent Rider Switch users. I love the convenience this service offers for families like ours where our entire party can’t or wishes not to enjoy certain attractions. With Rider Switch you’ll have the opportunity to divide and conquer so everyone can enjoy the magic they wish to enjoy during your visit!

Molly, you can absolutely use Rider Switch even if it is an adult that wishes to skip certain attractions during your visit. Because of how this service works, any three guests will be able to utilize the paper FastPass+ received after the first group enjoys the attraction. Simply alert the cast member at the entrance of the attraction that you wish to use Rider Switch. They will then provide the first riders with a lanyard that they will trade for a paper FP+ right before boarding the attraction. This paper FP+ is good for up to three guests to use at a later time.

Pro-tip! When planning your attractions and booking your FastPass+, keep in mind you can combine FP+ with Rider Switch for even more time saving magic!

I hope this helped answer your question. For any additional planning tips or advice, please don’t hesitate to stop by and bring those our way.

Have a magical day and see ya real soo!
