Are Rider Switch Passes good for a week or more? Or do they still need to be used on the day that you receive one? Thank you for clarifying!

Greetings Jessica! Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question.

The Rider Switch Service at Walt Disney World Resort is a convenient feature affording your travel party the opportunity to experience most attractions, regardless if a member of your party is unable to ride. Please consult the Rider Switch Service link I posted for a list of attractions that offer this feature.

Once you approach an attraction attendant (Cast Member), the Rider Switch pass will be presented to those in your party who will be second in line (Party 2), and they will be instructed where to wait while the first party (Party 1) rides the attraction.

When Party 1 is finished, they present the Rider Switch pass to Party 2, who then present the Rider Switch pass to the Cast Member for entrance. Party 1 then supervises those unable to ride.

The Rider Switch passes are always distributed by a Cast Member and subsequently handed back to a Cast Member for entrance to a Rider Switch Service listed attraction, and not to be kept indefinitely by Guests. The Rider Switch Service is available at listed attractions in all four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

I hope I clarified how the Rider Switch Service works for you Jessica and wish you a most memorable and positively magical vacation!
