Do rider switch passes expire? How long can you wait to go one the ride with this pass and one other person?

    Hi Denise,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Rider Switch is available to guests who are traveling with children that do not meet the height requirements or simply do not want to experience certain attractions.  This has been a wonderful addition to our family vacations when my daughter was younger, it kept everyone in the party happy.

When you arrive at the attraction, simply tell the Cast Member that you would like to utilize the Rider Switch option, and the Cast Member will give you a paper "ticket" that is like the old FastPasses.  On the bottom of the ticket it will give you an expiry date for the attraction, in my experience, the passes typically have an expiry of the end of the month.  You are free to enjoy the day and head back to the attraction at your leisure, whenever it best fits into your schedule.  Be sure to check the bottom of the ticket, for the expiry, when my daughter was younger, we would always try to use the return ticket the same day, just to make sure we had time to experience the attraction.  I would also recommend double checking which attractions do in fact allow Rider Switch, as it is not available for all attractions.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Denise.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
