How does the rider switch pass work for the parks?

Hi Gabriella! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Just four more days until you will be exploring the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks! I know how exciting it is when your countdown is almost at the end!

With two young children, our family has used Rider Switch for a few years now. It is so nice knowing that my husband and I don't have to miss out on any rides just because our little ones aren't tall enough to experience it yet. Even though our son is tall enough to meet some of the height requirements, our daughter is still a little too short, so we really appreciate Rider Switch!

When you arrive at an attraction with a height requirement, have the whole family present, including the kiddos in your party that aren't tall enough for the attraction. A Cast Member will be available to assist with the swap. You'll need to let the Cast Member know who in your party is riding first and if they are using the Stand By line or the FastPass+ line (this will determine your return window time for the second party). Then, those in your party that are riding second will have their MagicBands or tickets scanned and a FastPass+ time will be added to it. The window of time for the second party is typically around the time that the first party is finished with the attraction. The second party riding will go straight to the FastPass+ line without having to wait in the Stand By line. It makes it much faster!

I hope this helps with your planning, Gabriella! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
