Hi Jaime!
Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. With recent changes to the
Rider Switch Service now being managed electronically, there have been several questions on how the process works!
The first thing you'll want to do for any given attraction is check with the Cast Member at the entrance and ensure that Rider Switch is available. If it is, you'll need to approach as an entire party and let them know that you want to use Rider Switch. They will then scan up to three
MagicBands with a Rider Switch allotment and give them a return window, this will be the second party to ride. The first party then is able to board while the second party waits. If the Guests in the first party have a
FastPass+ they are able use this entrance, otherwise they'll enter the normal queue. Once they are done enjoying the attraction, they'll wait with the little mouseketeer in your party while your second party boards within their return window. For these Guests, they will scan their MagicBands and use their Rider Switch allotment that was previously granted to enter into the FastPass+ queue.
I hope this helps in planning your trip! Please come back and let us know if you have any other questions.
