Hello will rider switch be available during oogie boogie and if so what will be the procedure?

    Boo to you, Nicole!

Welcome back to planDisney. We are so honored you are willing to trust us with helping out as you prepare to visit The Happiest (or Spookiest) Place on Earth!

All attractions at the Disneyland Resort offer Rider Switch service. This is also technically true during Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. Though operational procedures for Rider Switch may be somewhat altered during the party versus regular daytime procedures. Those variations may even exist from party to party. In some cases when attraction wait times are especially low during the after-hours party (something that is not uncommon!) Rider Switch may not be necessary at all. So it’s always best to ask a Cast Member when you approach an attraction. However, the general principles will still be the same. To use Rider Switch:

    1. Keep your entire party together as you approach an attraction you plan to enjoy using the Rider Switch service. Inform a Cast Member at the attraction that you wish to participate in Rider Switch.
    2. The Cast Members at the attraction will help you split into two parties. The first party will wait in the standby line to enjoy the attraction first. The second party, formed by up to two members of your entire group, will have their Oogie Boogie Bash tickets scanned to set them up for experiencing the attraction during a designated window later. Guests not planning to experience the attraction will wait with the second party.
    3. When the first party finishes riding the attraction, the second party will hand off Guests who are not riding to wait with the first party while the second party uses an alternate entrance or procedure to enjoy the attraction with a reduced wait time.

Tony’s Tip: Rider switch is most often used for attractions that have a minimum height requirement that isn’t met by one or more Guests in a family or group. But it is also available for other reasons for Guests of all heights and ages. For example, you may wish to inquire about Rider Switch to accommodate Guests who are pregnant or who may feel uncomfortable, nervous, or prone to motion sickness for a given attraction.

I hope you have a spooktacular time at Oogie Boogie Bash, Nicole! Please feel free to visit us again at planDisney as you finalize your plans to visit the Disneyland Resort.
