for Rider Swap, I have a 2 a 5, 8 & 10 yr old. If grandma & grandpa take 1 child with them, can my husband & I do rider swap & take the other 2? Trying not to overwhelm the grandparents

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Brent! You’ve got a multigenerational, magical experience coming up! I love visiting with my Mom and my kids; it gives me a sense of completeness that everyone is having fun together!

Rider Switch Service is a big help to us when we visit, too. I can leave Daddy with baby girl and take my big kid on rollercoaster thrills before swapping out. When you’re using Rider Swap, the “first party” should be everyone but the chaperone and the non-rider. I’m guessing it’s your 2 year old! When the first party returns, the “second party” would be the chaperone, as well as a buddy… meaning that one of the older kids gets to ride again. Some Rider Swap wait passes entitle the user to bring two buddies with them; please enquire with the Cast Member at the front of the line and you can divvy up the rider parties. You should be able to send Grandparents with one kid to start on rides like Twilight Zone Tower of Terror which typically allow two buddies to ride with the second party.

If I can help you navigate the Parks with kids for another portion of your vacation, please let me know. I love stopping into the Baby Care Centers with my big and little kid for a potty break in the A/C as well as stocking up on water, snacks and maybe a rest off our feet! I’ll see ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
