Hey Howdy Hey Kara and welcome to planDisney!
Rider Switch is such a great option for families so they can experience attractions that others in the group might not want to or not qualify for due to height requirements. As a father of 3, we also have faced this issue when in the parks as planning for 5 on attractions can be difficult with the seating arrangements. Let's go over some of the details with the attractions and process so you can be ready for your day!
Your ride experience would be dependent on the age of your kids. Per
Walt Disney World rules, children 7 years or younger need a Guest 14 years or older to ride with them on all attractions. If two of your three kids are older than 7, they can ride together on attractions without an adult. If only one is older than 7, they can technically ride alone if they are brave enough. I know that would not happen with my kids, so we have had to get creative.
In our experience with Riders Switch, we spoke with a Cast Member at the attraction entrance and they were able to give us all Lightning Lanes that were good for about an hour. My wife took one of my daughters and I took the other. My Youngest at the time was not old enough to ride so this worked out the best in our situation. If you had a situation where all three of your kids needed an adult to ride the attraction, I would talk with a Cast Member at the ride entrance about it. They may be able to help you all so either adult would ride twice while all three kids had the experience.
I hope this information is helpful as the specifics of your situation would depend on the age of your kids. If you have any other questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
