Hi, Jessica!
I'm glad you chose to send your question to planDisney. Three and six-year-olds are the perfect ages to visit
Disneyland Resort! I love seeing the magic of Disney through those sweet eyes. There is nothing better!
Rider Switch is a great option for families with little ones who aren't quite tall enough for certain attractions. It allows part of your family to ride an eligible attraction while another adult waits with the children who can't ride. In my experience, only Guests who are riding can enter the queue, while the others wait elsewhere. I'm sorry! I know it's disappointing when you want to see their reactions firsthand. I suggest hanging out by the exit so you can catch those big smiles as they leave the ride.
If you decide to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to skip the standby lines on many attractions, you will also enjoy free downloads of attraction photos on rides that offer them. It's a great way to spend less time waiting in lines, and you get to come home with fun keepsakes from your trip.
To use Rider Switch, head to the attraction entrance and let the Cast Member know you would like to use it. They will scan the park tickets of up to two Guests who meet the height requirements and are not riding with the first group. Once the first group exits the attraction, those two Guests can enter through the Ride Switch entrance (often the Lightning Lane) to avoid waiting in the standard queue. You can also choose to have one Guest ride twice: once with the first adult and again with the adult who waited outside. This is a great option if your six-year-old meets the height requirements and wants to ride with each parent.
Did you know that
Bluey and Bingo are coming to Disneyland beginning March 22, 2026? My youngest child is beyond excited! Guests will be able to step right into Bluey's world as the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park is transformed into Bluey's school. It is going to be so much fun!
Jessica, I hope your family loves their time at Disneyland! You are welcome to
contact me again if you have more questions.
Magic Happens!
Jen
