When you ride the Walt Disney Railroad from point A to point B, what do you do with your Disney Rental Stroller?

Hi there Stacy! Thanks for coming aboard planDisney with a great question. I'll be your conductor today en route to an answer, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

Did you know that Walt Disney loved trains so much that he had his own railroad - the Carolwood Pacific - running through his backyard? The Walt Disney World Railroad is certainly a convenient way to get around the Magic Kingdom Park, but it also gives me a special feeling of connection to the original magic maker himself.

Stacy, due to ongoing construction in the area, the Walt Disney World Railroad is currently not operating. While we don't know an exact opening date, I recommend checking the interactive park hours calendar for the days of your visit to view an up to date list of attractions closed for refurbishment. Once you've selected the day you will be visiting the Magic Kingdom Park, check "Refurbishments" under the Schedules heading.

Should your vacation take place once the trains resume circulation, I'll share some information from a fellow stroller pusher. The theme park miles can be a lot for my Mouseketeers at times, so even though we don't use strollers at home anymore, they provide a much-needed break for the little ones on vacation. Because strollers must be folded onboard a train, Disney rental strollers are not permitted to take the trip. You will need to either return to where you parked your stroller near the station to retrieve it, or you can take your personal belongings, stroller name card, and rental receipt with you on the train and obtain a replacement stroller at another location.

I find that my young prince and princess often want their stroller the most when making the trek between the resort transportation and theme park entrance, as this can often be a long walk. If you anticipate a similar situation, I suggest bringing a stroller from home or renting from ScooterBug - Disney's featured third-party provider. ScooterBug will work with Disney Resort Cast Members to manage deliveries and returns of rented strollers. All of their strollers are foldable for convenient transport and storage.

I hope this has been helpful as you continue to dream about your upcoming adventure. If there is anything else we can do to make your trip more magical, please come see us again; we love to talk about all things related to Disney vacation planning!

Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,
    Betsy
