Ride switch...I need some clarity on the ride switch. Does party -#1 wait in the normal line and then switch with party #2?

    Hi Gayla! Welcome to planDisney!

You must be SO excited to visit the Walt Disney World Resort soon! It sounds like you have a little one traveling with you and it makes me smile as I think of all the special memories you are about to make.

My family has been using Rider Switch Service for years and I am extremely grateful for it! It cuts our wait times down in a big way for all the attractions that our kids are not quite tall enough to ride yet. I am happy to explain the process to you!

Take your entire party to the attraction's entrance and speak with the Cast Members there to let them know that you need to use Rider Switch. They will want to know who is riding first and will scan the second party's MagicBand or ticket (card) to add a Rider Switch return. Then, the first party will enter the regular Standby queue line and enjoy the attraction, while the second party entertains the kiddo. The first party will exit the attraction like normal and meet up with the group, then the second party will use the FastPass+ entrance (even though FastPass+ is currently suspended, the line is still used for things like Rider Switch Service) to scan their MagicBand or ticket and use the Rider Switch entitlement. This will bypass the normal line by taking the FastPass+ queue and make the second party's wait time MUCH less!

I hope this helps, Gayla! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
