Hi Denise,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!
Rider Switch Service is a great service for traveling parties that have some members who want to experience an attraction and some who do not want to or cannot ride a particular attraction. The link I provided has a detailed description of how Rider Switch Service works, but let me provide an example here.
Let's say that you are a party of four guests - two adults, one child, and one toddler. Both adults and the child want to ride
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but the toddler is too short due to the
height requirement, which is 40 inches for this attraction. Your whole party should approach a cast member at the attraction and let that cast member know that you would like to use Rider Switch. You will be given a Rider Switch pass. At this point, one adult and the child can go through the regular queue and ride the attraction, while the other adult watches the toddler. Once the first adult and child are done with the attraction, they find the second adult and toddler. The first adult takes over watching the toddler, and the second adult can use the Rider Switch pass to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad without going through the whole queue. The second adult can bring someone along with them, so if the child wants to ride again, they can!
I hope that this example was helpful for you, Denise. Please see the link on Rider Switch for a list of attractions that offer this service, and do let us know if you have any further questions!
