When you do ride swap because of small children, can the child ride again with the other parent?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary! It's so exciting that your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is coming up in just a few days! Rider Switch is going to be a great tool for your family if you're traveling with a little one who doesn't quite meet the height requirements for some of the more thrilling attractions, and I'm happy to walk you through exactly how it works.

Let's say a family of four, two parents, an older child, and an infant want to ride Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park. Obviously the baby can't ride and someone needs to stay back to take care of them, so Mom and the older child will wait in the standby line for the attraction while Dad gets a Rider Switch entitlement from a Cast Member and stays back with the little one. They can grab something to eat, meet some Disney Characters, or ride another attraction together! When Mom and the older kid are done riding, Dad can use his Rider Switch entitlement to ride Space Mountain using the FastPass+ entrance, and because the Rider Switch entitlement is good for up to three guests, your older child will be able to ride again with Dad if they want to! That way, everyone can experience their favorite attractions and no one has to ride by themselves. What a bonus for your older child, right?

I hope this answers your question, Mary, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
