Is the ride It's a small world still open and will it be open in October 2025?

    Hello, Monique! Welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for sharing your question about the happiest cruise that ever sailed. While the music of “it’s a small world” gets a lot of attention, and rightly so, I’ve always loved how this ride showcases the art of Imagineers and Disney Legends Mary Blair and Alice Davis. It’s like riding through a work of art!

I’m happy to report that “it’s a small world” is open and taking guests on a voyage of friendship and fun in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. I did some research, and I don’t see any notices about this attraction being closed for refurbishment in 2025. That being said, attraction availability is subject to change so keep an eye on the Hours and Events Calendar for information about attraction closures, as well as the Disney Parks Blog for up-to-date parks news.

You’ll be visiting at a great time of year, Monique! There are so many fun events happening in October at Walt Disney World Resort. The theme parks and resorts usually feature fun fall decor, and then there are special events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. There are no published dates for these events yet, but in past years information has been released in April and May. Once again, the Disney Parks Blog will be the best source for information as it becomes available.

I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. If you have any other questions, come right back and your planDisney pals will be happy to help.

    Magical travels!
