Hello. Do you have to ride the skyliner to get to Epcot if you are staying at art of animation? What is your ate not comfortable and claustrophobic?

    Hello,

Thank you stopping by planDisney with your question. Brenda I know plenty of folks who aren’t fans of the gondola system called the Disney Skyliner. I can help you figure out a couple of ways to get back and forth from your resort without having to make yourself uncomfortable.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is hands-down, the most artistic of all the resorts. The dedication to the designers of this resort is prevalent in all of the details. This particular resort pays homage to all the movies with animation from the beginning of Walt Disney’s Animation Studio. One big benefit is quick access to EPCOT via the Skyliner. But this is not the only way to get to there. There are buses that run to EPCOT that take about 78 minutes from your resort. The Skyliner cuts that time in less than half at 38 minutes from Epcot. If you are not interested in the bus ride, there are rideshare options like the Minnie Vans powered by Lyft. If you decide to use this option, it is a direct route from your hotel to the park. This option is significantly shorter at around a 10 minute drive. Buses start running approximately 45 minutes before park opening, so if you intend on being early, the rideshare service would be the fastest option.

Art of Animation is home to one of the largest pools any Disney resort offers. The Big Blue Pool has 308,527 gallons of water. It is inspired by Finding Nemo. If you have little ones, there is also a little Schoolyard Sprayground with pop-up jets and some of the coolest gushing water fountains you’ll see. If Cars is someone's favorite movie, there is also the Cozy Cone Pool this one isn’t quite as large as the big blue pool, but coming in at 74,470 gallons, you’ll be sure to have a great time. If you are traveling with little ones, make sure you check in with the recreation host to see what activities will be happening that day at the pool. Sometimes there is even activities from Community Hall, which may cost a small fee, but is guaranteed to be a large amount of fun. You can always ask the front desk for a list of activities when you arrive. They should be able to provide you with what is happening during your stay.
