Welcome to planDisney, Chelsea! Thank you for coming to us with your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question.
One of my favorite benefits of staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is
complimentary transportation. Of the available options, the
Disney Skyliner rises above the others...My little boys love to guess which Disney character wrap we will get and think it is so cool to have such a fantastic view of the Disney World property; it is almost like we don’t even need to go on any other rides! Recently, we have been fortunate to stay in one of the resorts located along
Disney’s BoardWalk. On our non-theme park days, we ride the Skyliner from EPCOT to
Disney’s Riviera Resort for a coffee from
Le Petit Café or to our character breakfast at
Topolino’s Terrace.
I spoke with a Cast Member and was told Guests are asked to unload their children and fold their strollers before boarding the Disney Skyliner. While the door opening of the gondola is 30” wide, the seats face each other, so there wouldn’t be legroom for members of your party to sit, creating a safety issue. I have seen other groups able to keep their strollers as-is, but they were the small umbrella-type strollers, and it was a small party (mother and child), so the Cast Members got to exercise their discretion with all factors taken into consideration. To be safe, I would plan on having to fold your double stroller!
I hope you get the chance to resort-hop while on your upcoming vacation. If you haven’t gotten the opportunity to explore
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort,
Disney’s Beach Club Resort, or
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, I would highly suggest taking a Skyliner ride to the EPCOT station to walk around. In the evening, the kids can play boardwalk games, you could grab a delicious dessert from
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, or if you're lucky enough to get a date night, you could check out the dueling pianos at
Jellyrolls!
If you have any follow-up questions or would like more suggestions, please

See you real soon!
