Can you ride the rides while attending the Christmas party or do you have to purchase theme park tickets and party tickets?

Hello Nona.  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a hard ticket event.  The park actually shuts down to daytime guests at 7:00p.m.  The only people that are then allowed into Magic Kingdom are those with the event ticket.  During the party guests can enjoy
    • Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
    • Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season
    • Totally Tomorrowland Christmas - a special show where Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski and Stitch go on a search for Santa
    • Celebrate The Seasons Show - Mickey's special version of the Nutcracker
    • Special character meet and greets throughout the park
    • Free cookies and hot cocoa at various locations
    • Snow falling on Main Street U.S.A.
    • Character dance parties
    • Many popular rides and attractions

The party runs on select nights in November and December and the officially starts at 7:00p.m. but your party ticket actually gets you into Magic Kingdom at 4:00p.m.  If you do plan on attending the party, I suggest arriving around 4 to take advantage of the extra riding time.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.  Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
