Hey there Suzanne and welcome to planDisney!
Whether it's from an injury or a surgery, I'm wishing a speedy recovery to you or the member of your travel party that's in a cast. That's definitely not the most magical thing to have to consider. But the Walt Disney World Resort is home to all sorts of activities and attractions so I know there's no shortage of fun no matter what. I love the coasters in the theme parks as much as the next Mousketeer. In my experience, coasters like
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom Park and
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith in Disney's Hollywood Studios can get a bit wild. The Guest Policies do warn that you should be in good health before riding but a mid-forearm cast shouldn't prevent wearing any ride restraints to my knowledge. I would suggest having a chat with your doctor before your trip. They'd be able to best advise you on what's safe and what isn't. After all, reinjuring yourself is much less magical than missing a coaster or two this trip. All the more reason to plan for a future visit!
Now if you haven't heard,
hugs have returned to the Walt Disney World Resort! Nothing cures what ails you like a hug from Mickey Mouse. For a little creative fun ask the Cast Members if it's possible for characters to sign that cast. What an amazing souvenir that would be!
Suzanne, I'm wishing you all the pixie dust for your arm. Don't forget to call your doctor so you can plan accordingly. If you have any other questions,
come back for another chat!Happy planning!
