Can you ride the Monorail to the race start for the princess half marathon?

    Hi Rachael!

The monorail, in years past, was not available to use early enough to take runners to the start of the race.  It will open a little later for spectators to get to Magic Kingdom so they can watch the runners come up Main Street though.  (I would like to add that the monorail is always subject to change...both for early start and spectators.  This is just what has been in years past and what they are planning for the 2013 race as well)

All of the monorail resorts (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian) ARE host resorts for the 2013 Princess Half race.  This means that if you are staying at them, there is free bus transportation to and from all of the race weekend events.  That is even more handy than riding the monorail to the start because it will drop you off closer to where you need to be.  You will be able to hitch a ride on the monorail back to your resort after the race.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any more questions!
