Can I ride my electric mobility cart on the water taxi? Specifically from the Polynesian to MK?

    Hi Judy,

Disney's Polynesian Resort happens to be my favorite resort hotel in all of Walt Disney World. Don't get me wrong, I love the other resort hotels, but this one holds a special place in my heart.

Unfortunately, the water taxis that run between Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Magic Kingdom cannot accommodate electric mobility carts. However, I don't like to be the bearer of bad news unless I have a "Plan B" up my sleeve.

I'm a huge fan of the Monorail, so much so that I often watch home videos of Monorail rides just so I can feel like I'm there. (I fully admit that I'm obsessed with Walt Disney World!) However, I like to change up my routine every now and then when I want to make the trip from Disney's Polynesian Resort to the Magic Kingdom.

If you follow the lush and winding pathways through the grounds of Disney's Polynesian Resort, you'll see that one of them will lead you to the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, you can hop on one of the ferryboats that takes guests to the Magic Kingdom via the Seven Seas Lagoon.

The ferryboats are accessible via electric mobility carts, so you'll have no trouble whatsoever. Plus, I find it to be a really relaxing ride. (Once you've set sail, it should only take 5-10 minutes to arrive at the Magic Kingdom's dock.)

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you're looking for some interesting spots to take pictures while you're at Walt Disney World, the vantage point you get from the front of these ferryboats offers an awesome shot of the entrance to the Magic Kingdom with Cinderella's Castle in the background. The route taken by the ferryboats lines them up so that you can take a postcard-worthy picture!

I hope that helps! Please feel free to let me know if you should have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
