Hi there, Julie!
I have to admit, my
Sorcerer Mickey Disney Visa gets quite a workout. However, I look at it as a FastPass to savings when it comes to Walt Disney World vacations. Cardmembers earn 1% in Disney Rewards Dollars on everyday card purchases, such as groceries, gas, and dining. These Rewards Dollars can be redeemed and used just like a Disney Gift Card towards things like theme park tickets, Walt Disney World Resort hotel stays, and shopping sprees at
Disney Springs!
When it's time for you to spend those hard-earned Disney Rewards Dollars, you'll need to go online to request a
Redemption Card. Simply log into your account, and select the tab on the left side of the screen that says, "Rewards Dollars Details," and then click on the "Manage Account" button. Then you will see exactly how many Disney Rewards Dollars are available for transfer. Follow the prompts to order your card and have it mailed to your home. You'll want to do this a few weeks in advance of your trip. Alternatively, Disney Redemption Cards are also available at Guest Services locations at Walt Disney World Resort, including Disney Springs. Keep in mind that Redemption Cards are reusable. I like to save mine, even after I've spent it because I can easily reload it via the website. You can use your card for purchases immediately- it almost seems as if the Fairy Godmother has waved her magic wand!
I always put my Rewards Dollars towards a fun guilt-free splurge. On recent trips, I've used it to book a
Fireworks Dessert Party and
Disney Early Morning Magic. It's also a great reason to treat yourself to a Signature Dining Experience, like
California Grill or
Jiko - The Cooking Place.
No matter how you decide to spend your Disney Rewards Dollars, Julie, I know you'll have a magical trip!
